About:    Based in San Francisco, California, Joe Boxer Corp was a leading designer and manufacturer of men’s, women’s and children’s apparel as well as home and licensed product lines. Therese was engaged on numerous marketing collateral design projects, and most notably for the company's national print advertising campaign promoting the full range of products.

About:   MessageMakers, located in Lansing's Old Town, determined to reconsider its brand in 2008. Therese was engaged to work with the MessageMakers team in developing a design architecture, positioning language, and new identity system to reinvigorate the highly respected marketing and communications firm. messagemakers.com

Awards:  The new branding system was recognized with a Silver ADDY in 2009.

Client:  Trio Vintners
Project Title:  Branding
Role:  Brand Strategy, Consultation and Creative Design

About:  Trio Vintners was founded in Walla Walla, Washington in 2006. Therese was asked by the owners to develop the brand identity for the winery launch, design a complete wine packaging system, marketing collateral materials, and business forms.  Therese continued creative design services for Trio Vintners through 2010, evolving the brand's visual design impact over many subsequent wine releases.  

Awards:  The Trio Vintners brand identity system received  Gold and Silver ADDY's in 2008. 

Client:  Project FIT: Michigan State University's College of Communication Arts and Sciences, Department of Advertising and Public Relations
Project Title:  Branding, Advertising and Collateral Design
Role:  Consultation and Creative Design

About:   Project FIT was a collaboration between three Michigan State University  colleges, funded by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan. The study focused on five pilot schools – located in the Grand Rapids School District – as well as surrounding neighborhoods. Therese was engaged to lead integrated design strategy with nutritionists, public relations specialists, community advocates,and kinesiologists to develop communication materials for schools, families, and community.   Therese designed a POS system promoting healthy food choices for use at independent, corner store markets in low-income neighborhoods, learning tools for educators in participating classrooms, and communication templates for field researchers and specialists.

About:   Michigan State university believes differences are strength. Diversity is power. Building inclusive communities is at the core of its values. To best express this core value, The Office for Inclusion introduced the Building Inclusive Communities initiative.

Client:  Lansing Community College
Marketing + Design Department
Project Title:  Environmental Graphics
Role:  Consultation and Creative Design

About:   The Lansing Community College Marketing + Design Department required environmental graphics to help define relocation of the department. Therese was brought in to design wall graphics and way finders, from elevator, down hallway, and into offices.  Through bold use of photography and type, Therese created new space and fully integrated the creative efforts of the department.

About:   The International Business Center is located in The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University. Therese was first engaged to design and produce the IBC's annual report in 2009, and continues to provide design and visual communications consultation on a variety of projects.

Office for Inclusion and and Intercultural Initiatives 
Project Title:  Project 60/50 Identity development and implementation
Role:  Strategy, Consultation and Creative Design

About:   To commemorate the 60th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education and the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, MSU's Office for Inclusion desired to launch a year-long, campus and community-wide initiative promoting conversations on human and civil rights.  Therese was engaged  to name the initiative, design an identity system, including supportive language, provide strategy on event implementation, and develop a 'Conversation Kit' to be used by participating entities on - or off - campus for events and community engagement.  The resulting high-profile Project 60/50 has been widely acclaimed and has received commendation from MSU's President, local and national leaders.

About:  The Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force was founded at Michigan State University over ten years ago. It is a collection of 90 agencies across the state all working to end human trafficking through education and collaboration between agencies. mhttf.org

About:  Go Wine! Design exploration for product development. Therese was asked to explore design and packaging for product development purposes of a new big box wine product.

About:  MSU Community Music School celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2013. Therese was brought in to design invitations to the gala, a commemorative brochure, and signage.

Client:  Episcopal Diocese
of Western Michigan
Project Title:  Diocesan Profile

About:   The Episcopal Diocese of Western Michigan launched a search for their 9th Bishop. To publicize the position, Therese was asked to create an online Diocesan Profile brochure.

Client:  GESA Power House Theatre
Project Title:  Branding

About:   The historic Power House House Theatre, located in  in Walla Walla, Washington, engaged Therese in a brand augmentation project after signing a 'naming grant' with GESA Credit Union. Therese resolved and implemented the union of two brands into one cohesive graphic identity,  as well as to provide GESA Power House Theatre with a brand style guide to consult for marketing and communication campaigns.  

Client:  The Mac Stores / Computers Stores Northwest
Project Title:  Branding

About:  The Mac Store operates as the largest independently owned reseller of Apple products in the Pacific Northwest.  The retailer engaged Therese to design branding for a customer loyalty program for all retail stores.  Charged with incorporating the Apple trademark as business strategy, Therese designed a "look and feel' for the program, called iCare, that would also stand apart from Apple Inc, resulting in a successful roll out to thousands of loyal Mac Store customers in both Oregon and Washington states.

Client:  Project 60/50: Elder Rights Team
Project Title:  Across Generations: VideoFest
Role:  Event and Communication Design

About:  Project 60/50 Elder Rights Team is committed to bringing attention to the viewpoints, experiences, contributions, value and rights of all persons, including older adults. Across Generations was designed in honor of conversation: bringing people together to talk about the milestones in their lives. The video contest provided an opportunity for young people to engage with their elders by documenting a conversation and to celebrate the resulting videos at a screening in the Eli and Edythe Broad Museum.

About:   MSU Global needed to simply answer the question: What is MSU Global? Therese was  engaged to facilitate the answering of that question and to develop a look, language and graphic assets for the unit.

About:  Naming, branding and graphic identity standards, communications system, brand strategy and positioning language for 30 year, family-owned financial management firm. This project included leading key stakeholders through brand discovery and renaming process, resulting in a brand standards manual with complete identity system and brand positioning language.

About:   The Year of Global Africa is the university-wide initiative at Michigan State University for the 2018-2019 academic years. MSU has long ties to Africa.
